With this excursión Coconutraveler.com , wants to offer a complete day full of incredible sites in a place that is patrimony of the biosphere by “UNESCO” from 1971, we are talking about the peninsula of Samana in the Dominican Republic, a place of fascinating beauty!
Don’t miss the rare opportunity of watching one of nature’s most endangered species thriving in the warm waters of the Tropic and watch these beautiful creatures swimming leisurely in groups.
Samana Bay is one of the rare places in the world where watching Humpback whales becomes more than an art…it’s a unique and precious moment that makes this place one of the world’s best spots internationally for observing these marvellous creatures.
The whales come each winter from January to March, to complete their mating ritual in Carribbean waters as they migrate from their northern habitat located in Canada, Iceland and Greenland to give birth to their young and to look for their female, competing for the opportunity to mate with joyful acrobatics and courting sounds! You can also enjoy female whales preparing their young for their long trip back north!
Afterwards we will visit Cayo Levantado, a tiny piece of paradise full of natural splendour and amazing beauty also known as the Bacardi Island. Here you will eat lunch and enjoy its beaches while snorkelling or just sunbathing at your leisure in this paradise of blue.
