Eagle Bay forms part of the Jaragua National Park wich is the largest protected area by the government of the Dominican Republic, its home to 130 bird species, the biggest population of flamingos, and   nesting grounds to 4 species of marine turtles.

According to opinions and surveys at local and international level, it has the  most beautiful beaches in the  Dominican Republic. Its beaches are so beautiful, so white and and its waters so crystalline that they amaze visitors!!

Eagle Bay is a jealously protected area  in wich it has not yet been approved to build tourist facilities, so it is totally virgin and uncontaminated, filled with marine and coastal flora and is the main ecosystem within the Park. Where we will have the opòrtunidad to contemplate ” Manati” mammal similar to a whale beluga.  It was declared on  November 6  2002, a World Biosphere Reserve by the Organization of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the government received a certificate attesting to this area global ecological importance.
