Bahia de las Aguilas is a jealously protected area  in wich it has not yet been approved to build tourist facilities, so it is totally virgin and uncontaminated, filled with marine and coastal flora and is the main ecosystem within the Park.  It was declared on  November 6  2002, a World Biosphere Reserve by the Organization of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and the Unesco received a certificate attesting to this area global ecological importance.
